Silver-haired dancer

The silver-haired dancer came from a small fishing village by the sea. He always loved dancing to the sounds of his home: the rain, the waves, the cry of seabirds, the daytime humming of the villagers, and the nighttime bonfire serenades. He wasn't able to afford the metal jewelry court dancers wore, so he collected bits of shells, corals, and sea-glass, and decorated himself with those. On the days that the fish were few, he headed to the beach to dance till the stars cast their pale light on him. On the day of the year when the tides receded the farthest, he was dancing blissfully under the crimson rain clouds. The silver-haired dancer saw a parade of horses and a sedan chair carried by servants proceeding towards him. He stopped to marvel at the metal and jewel encrusted sedan chair at a safe distance. Suddenly, the servants put down the carriage, and a voice called out to the dancer, "Your dancing is beautiful. Would you like to entertain at my palace?"
